Children of the Nations
Video Production Proposal by Riley Endicott
Assist COTN in celebrating 25 years of transformation, by thanking existing donors and partners, and activating new ones by…
1) Creating one longer “feature” video to use during COTN’s 25 year banquets.
2) Creating additional social media call to action videos.
3) Capturing high quality photographs to be used on social media, web, and print.
I will travel to the country or countries you want to highlight (Sierra Leone and the Dominican Republic have been mentioned to me) and create a short film about several of the people who have been with COTN’s programs since the beginning. These people should embody the mission and success COTN envisions continuing in the future. I would recommend doing the film as a verite style documentary and spending 24-48 hours with each of these people. This will give the audience an intimate and authentic look into their lives and will give us the best chance at creating a unique experience outside of the normal “sit down talking head” style of testimonial video. We can combine two or three of these people sharing their experience of how COTN’s programs have empowered and equipped them to become leaders in their community.
I will work hand-in-hand with COTN’s marketing team to identify the best possible people to feature in these films and videos. Ideally, they are somewhat fluent in English to avoid needing a translator, but I have edited projects with translators in the past and it is doable. As well, these people should have visually interesting vocations - a mechanic or a doctor/nurse will appear more interesting on camera than a clerk or a teacher.
An emphasis will be placed on the transformation happening and less so on the need that has yet to be addressed. It will be import to be honest about the context and environment that COTN operates in, but in my experience people are more likely to become involved out of excitement and momentum than they are if they feel sad and overwhelmed.
A priority will be placed on capturing a wide range of content while in country. From landscapes, to market places, to inside our character’s homes, and work places we can capture enough content to be flexible with our storytelling. By doing this we can maximize the quantity of content we can produce moving forward.
All of this content will be captured on large sensor, wide dynamic range, 4k cameras capable of creating beautiful cinematic and filmic looking images. By using a combination of slow motion, drone footage, and high resolution images we can help these films and videos stand out with an elevated aesthetic that can evoke the emotion we are trying to elicit.
My goal with any content I create, whether it’s video, or photo, isn’t just to tell a compelling story or create a beautiful image. I want to combine those elements with an intentional effort to help you solve problems, reach more donors and partners, and ultimately push the mission of Children of the Nations forward. Creative content can be an investment - but when it’s done right it can be a meaningful one that produces a strong return and mobilizes more people to act. By crafting a well told documentary story that highlights the impact that COTN has had on children around the globe over the last 25 years we can encourage more people to get involved and can make a lasting impact on even more children.
Deliverables
1) Create a documentary short with compelling characters who embody the mission of COTN and highlights the God given potential of the children served by COTN
2) Create social media videos that promote a strong call to action
3) High Quality Photographs
I’ll create strong visual stories that can be used across multiple platforms to ensure COTN’s legacy is celebrated, existing donors are thanked, and new donors and partners are activated.
I’ve produced films, directed photo shoots, designed websites, and managed social media accounts for various organizations. I’ve also successfully lead a $60k video and social media crowdfunding campaign for an International missions organization and a 1 million dollar fundraising campaign for a local church using all of these skills. I’ll handle your video content in a way that is consistent with your brand and voice so that you can focus on the children and partners of COTN.
For the duration of the project consider me a part of your team. While I will primarily work remotely I’ll be available to talk through the logistics of the process, the people we choose to put on camera, and how you want this project to communicate your brand and voice.
I will create a detailed timeline with regular check-ins and progress reports to ensure that we will hit all of our deadlines and goals.
The pricing options listed below are set pricing. There won’t be any surprises or unexpected increase in price. The only way the cost will go up is if the scope of the work changes - and this will always require a discussion beforehand.
From here we’ll discuss any questions you might have and can adjust anything in the quote to fit your needs.
My goal with this project is to be an asset to COTN. I want this to be a partnership and I’m willing to have a conversation about anything in the proposal.
Once we feel like it’s a great fit I will draft a contract with a detailed list of what will be necessary to meet our deadlines.
